Wish comes true on my Birthday!!

Benny has been gradually recovering from leukemia; his sweet smile has returned to his face again. This little boy likes playing with his family, especially his mother and elder brother. He also likes the characters of Disney very much. As a result, his wish was to visit Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. To make it more special, Benny’s mother picked the date which was her little son’s 4^th birthday, so that Benny might celebrate the day with Mickey Mouse, his favourite Disney character.

The day the family visited the theme park was very hot, but Benny was excited to start the journey in the early morning as they were picked-up by a comfortable 7-seater vehicle at their home. They were all welcomed by Fion, Ambassador of the theme park at the main entrance. Benny could not hide his excitement and happiness when he walked along Main Street, USA. The highlight of the day came when the family had settled at the Corner Café inside the park - Mickey Mouse showed up to celebrate Benny’s birthday! He brought the boy a birthday cake which was in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head. Benny and his mother, Fion and Mickey Mouse delightedly blew out the candle, followed by the taking of a group picture. The family experienced great happiness by sharing the delicious cake, Benny also showed his lovely smile frequently in front of the camera. 

Benny was enjoying the lovely cake when Mickey Mouse was excused as Mickey couldn’t wait to tell Minnie that her cake was scrumptious which everyone loved it so much. Fion brought additional cheer to Benny presenting some birthday gifts to Benny, including a Mickey Mouse stuffed toy, a box of colour pencils and an umbrella with Buzz Lightyear’s smiley face, which was very useful when Benny was watching the performance of McQueen in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in such a hot weather. He held it tightly when he and his mother were on the way from one attraction to another. 

Benny then took the rides of Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, Autopia in Tomorrowland and “It’s a Small World” in Fantasyland. The family continued their magical day by experiencing the excitement of different attractions and enjoying the performances by the Disney characters. They returned to the hotel with great satisfaction after watching the marvelous fireworks show but it did not mean the day ended at that point… Benny’s mother received some warm-hearted gifts in the hotel room, courtesy the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel which were for celebrating Benny’s birthday. Although those gifts were not of large monetary value, the family treasured them very much as they represented blessings and support for Benny.  

Benny’s wish trip to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort ended after he and his family enjoyed an appetizing breakfast at the hotel restaurant the next morning. Again, Benny was able to meet his favourite characters. We believe that what he brought home was not limited to the gifts from Fion and the Hotel; he also took plenty of cheerful and unforgettable memories with him. His 4^th birthday became special and meaningful because his wish came true on that day!
