Mr. Jackie Chan

I want to meet Jackie Chan!

Many children like watching action movies and to some of them, Jackie Chan’s kung-fu movies are on the top of their lists. Keisha and Dayne are from the United States. They applied for a wish from Make-A-Wish® and requested a meeting with Jackie Chan.

Keisha and Dayne are both 14 years old and are both big fans of Jackie Chan. Their wish trip to Hong Kong with their families was scheduled in early May. While awaiting their wish to come true, they managed to visit different Hong Kong tourist spots, though the focus of this trip was still to meet their big idol…

Finally, the big day came! With the kindest help of Jackie’s crew, the two little kids visited Jackie’s movie studio. They were very excited upon seeing the movie posters and pictures on the wall. Dayne even posed in front of the Rush Hour poster, which is his favourite movie. Then they saw Jackie in the garden where he was having a press interview. Jackie noticed them and immediately greeted them and gave them a big hug. It was such a surprise, Keisha looked shy when seeing Jackie and could not gaze directly at him!

The family continued their visit to other parts of the studio, including the property room and costume room. All items in the studios were used in various Jackie Chan movies. While having a break in the conference room, Jackie appeared again and brought Keisha and Dayne some precious souvenirs and autographed them.

In the evening, Jackie brought them to a famous Chinese restaurant for a cheerful dinner. In response to the request of Dayne, Jackie patiently taught him some kung fu moves and also explained the moves in detail. This made Dayne pick up some moves in a short time. Jackie also shared his childhood experience in learning martial arts, such as how strictly the master was and other anecdotes of him and his classmates. Thus, everyone knew about the hardships of the international superstar.

Before the end of the dinner, everyone grabbed the last opportunity to take pictures with Jackie. Jackie wore a big smile on his face the whole time while taking the pictures. He also encouraged Keisha and Dayne to try hard to overcome the difficulties in their lives. He said he was very pleased to be part of their wish.
