Wishing Bears & Wish Stories Calendar
Wishing Bears
You may be busy in looking for gifts for your beloved family members or friends during “the festival period”, from a few weeks before Christmas and a couple of days after the Chinese New Year. People may bring the warm festival greetings with the recipients by the gifts; so that they all would share unforgettable joy and happy memories together. In fact, you may enrich “the meanings” of gifts easily in addition to purchasing presents, i.e. spending your budget to help people in need at the same time. How to do it? It is simple – place your orders of Wishing Bears which are newly released in December 2011.
Wishing Bears are in 2 styles: in a blue tee or with a ribbon. Do you want to take one back to home? Act now if our answer is “Yes”!!

Wish Stories Calendar
A new school year is about to begin, and while students are busying themselves with the preparation for new books, stationary, and uniforms, let’s not forget that a calendar for the new school year is a great tool for students to plan their upcoming year. Make-A-Wish® Hong Kong (MAWHK) partners with Hosannart to create the newly published “Wish Stories Calendar”, not only to help students, but also to thank all the students and parents for supporting and promoting the MAWHK’s services.
"Wish Stories Calendar" covers information of 17 months (from the months of August 2011 to December 2012). This seemingly plain calendar lends 16 beautiful stories from our Wish Children with life threatening medical conditions, paired together with beautiful illustrations and colourful graphics, to create a meaningful, multi-functional storybook. It would surely gain a significant spot on the corner of a student's table.
The “Wish Stories Calendar” also raises funds for our services and we are now accepting public mail orders. They are selling at HK$60 each (mail order: each calendar ordered requires an additional $4.4 mailing cost / any purchases of over 20 can enjoy free delivery upon request). Please fill in the order form and email to info@makeawish.org.hkor fax to 2856 9600.
MAWHK will also be launching our fundraising event - “Celebrating a Fun Mid-Autumn Festival”, setting up booths in MegaBox Kowloon Bay between 1 to 13 September. Our counter will be set up at level L8, where you can find our “Wish Stories Calendar” on sale, with complete proceeds going directly to our services without deducting any costs. Other items will be on sale and available, with Hosannart pledging to donate 10% of its total sales to MAWHK. With the Mid-Autumn Festival being just around the corner, we will also be setting up a booth at L9 for the “Make-A-Wish DIY Lantern.
Making Workshop” (only available on weekends and public holidays). Participants of all ages pay a minimum of HK$20 to cover the supplies, for which they can choose to take home a beautifully self-decorated lantern, or hang it up in our Wish Tree set up at the venue. Hong Kong pop artists Ms. Jade Kwan and Mr. Jonathan Wong will also be making a personal appearance at 3pm on 4 September, supporting MAWHK and our related events. Lastly, we will be inviting a Wish Child, Ka Ming, to share his experiences with us. He will tell us how his wish was granted through our organisation.
Stocks are limited for the “Wish Stories Calendar”, so get them while supplies last! If you wish to give away this thoughtful gift to a friend or simply buy it for yourself, remember to visit our booth during early September, or simply fill out the form for a mail order. See you there!
